Xiao
Xiao is reserved, logical and determined, albeit curt and straight to the point. He is rarely in a good mood and prefers being alone. He shows almost no interest in humans and their culture, some of which he finds strange or pointless. However, there are a few people who he finds notable, such as Hu Tao for her "interesting" (yet "irritating") humor and Beidou for defeating a leviathan by herself.
Xiao maintains a distant and cold approach to those he speaks with, but it is clear that he also cares about the Traveler's well-being, even if their ways perplex him. Xiao states that he does not wish to integrate into the mortal realm or get close to humans, but at the same time says he does keep watch over Liyue Harbor and wishes to ensure the Traveler's safety. He even offers to visit the Harbor with the Traveler together.
Xiao is also revealed to be a strict yet effective teacher, especially as he is a mentor figure for Ganyu. While Ganyu finds Xiao to be a loner and somewhat unapproachable at first, she does admit that Xiao is an important part for her to reach her full potential as an adeptus. However, as a soul-slaughtering yaksha, he feels that he is not a suitable mentor for her. Others like Chongyun hold deep admiration for him and his demon-conquering abilities, yet at the same time notes his disparaging remarks at the methods of exorcists. At the same time, Xiao says not to judge adepti by mortal values.
As a Yaksha, Xiao is constantly afflicted by his negative karmic burdens that he accumulates from committing endless slaughter against monsters that threaten Liyue. Others have taken note of the pain he constantly suffers and take pity on him, being the only remaining Yaksha who is active in protecting Liyue where as his fellow Yaksha have died or disappeared, stating that he does not sleep and neither do the demons, indicating his absolute focus in protecting the land from evil spirits. In one particular instance, he was nearly consumed by his own karma, only to be saved by a person playing a flute. This incident left him touched and he hopes for the day that he can dance to the tune of the flute amidst a sea of flowers.
This negative karma is also the reason he prefers being alone, as he does not wish to burden others with his own problems, nor cause problems for others in the area. While it is implied that he has killed humans in the line of duty, this is often as a result of them straying too close to him as he fights at full power; he states that he does not intentionally kill them. Despite this, Xiao remains dedicated to fulfilling his contract with Morax, expressing eternal gratitude and loyalty to the god for saving him from his former master, who treated him like a bloodhound.
Xiao is appreciated by the humans and adepti of Liyue alike. Zhongli still deeply cares for Xiao and offers to deliver some special painkillers to him to help relieve his pain. Verr Goldet and Huai'an have also provided Xiao a headquarters in Wangshu Inn, so that he can carry out his missions to purge the evil spirits of Liyue. Although they are not particularly close with Xiao, they do value his heroic deeds. Verr Goldet even asks the Traveler to take Xiao to enjoy the Lantern Rite festival and engage in some festivities of the mortal world, which Xiao does not usually concern himself with.
He prefers Almond Tofu because it reminds him of the dreams he consumed. He dislikes other foods and cannot stomach them.
Ganyu
Ganyu is usually very quiet and reserved due to her half-qilin heritage. Qilin are also vegetarians; as such, she will not eat any meat dishes, including vegetarian ones that have been fried in animal fat. Both Xiangling and her father note that whenever she visits Wanmin Restaurant, she always eats in small quantities. She also completes whatever is given to her, whether it be tasks or food, even if she is reluctant to do so.
Unlike most of the other adepti who isolated themselves, Ganyu, like Madame Ping, chose to actively guide humanity and has served as the non-stopping general secretary of the Liyue Qixing for thousands of years. The more important the task is, the more effort she puts into it, but she also becomes increasingly nervous and is more prone to making mistakes.
She also has an unusually impressive work schedule that she always follows to the dot. Despite having a massive workload and frequent overtime, Ganyu is never fazed by the work. She has a good working relationship with her juniors, as she is willing to share her knowledge and ideas to help them with whatever problems they have, and they in turn respect her greatly. Due to her consistent overtime, Ganyu has very few friends outside of work.
Surprisingly, Ganyu gets along well with Beidou, but the captain's poor standing with the Qixing means that she usually keeps it a secret, lest she put her in a negative light. Ganyu is one of the few who sees Beidou positively, even breaking character when hearing bad rumors about Beidou, knowing that she is not who they perceive her as.
She is a devout follower of Morax and hopes to follow in his footsteps in protecting Liyue. She initially had trouble working with Keqing due to her controversial comments about him, but is slowly understanding her. Due to her age, she is very forgetful, and she often forgets important details which causes her much embarrassment. She is relatively sleepy and is very sensitive about both her horns and weight.
Venti
Venti has a somewhat recalcitrant, carefree, and playful attitude as well as a liking to rhyming in his speech. He sees a particular worth in music to the point where he names his lyre, saying, "every being deserves a name to be called upon, and woven into a song." He is also bold, not fearing to insult or ignore those who are supposedly powerful. In the game, he responds to Paimon's comments and nicknaming by parroting her.
Venti enjoys roaming around Mondstadt playing songs to his people, most of whom are unaware of his true identity as Barbatos. He is very well-liked due to his musical talent, having won the title "Most Popular Bard of Mondstadt" three times.[5] Venti is also an avid drinker of alcoholic beverages, such as Dandelion Wine and has a high tolerance to alcohol. He is also fine with apple cider. To his disdain, the form he takes causes most bartenders to see him as a minor.
Being a god who is generally absent for prolonged periods of time, Venti has no personal finances; he often resorts to pilfering from the Dawn Winery for food and shamelessly has people listening to his songs buy him drinks in lieu of a payment. For reasons unknown, he is deathly allergic to cats and will not perform unless he is certain none are nearby. In his story quest, it is implied that his constant alcoholism is his way of coping with the loss of a dear friend.
He also enjoys apples, considering them to be the fruit of the gods, jokingly stating that he would refuse to go to Celestia even if he was invited because their apples are bland and the water foul, which would make bad cider. He dislikes cheese, claiming it to be a smelly, sticky and slimy mess.
Despite his normally playful personality as the bard Venti, he speaks wisely and somewhat philosophically whenever he assumes his true identity due to the many experiences he had being one of the original members of The Seven. Compared to Zhongli, the mortal vessel of Morax, Venti does not mind revealing his identity and using his powers if it means helping his people.
For all his cheer and wisdom, Venti hides a lonely soul who, even millennia later, continues to feel strongly about the loss of the Bard whose form he imitates and even compares himself to Stanley (a man whose real name is Hans Archibald but took on the name of his deceased friend Stanley and tried to imitate him).
Venti also confesses to finding the Traveler's ability to discern what he's thinking as discomforting, but admits that he appreciates having a true friend, similar to how he views the Bard.
Zhongli
Zhongli is a calm, reserved, and polite man who knows much about Liyue's history and culture in part due to his time as the Geo Archon; like Venti, he has many experiences and memories, as he was a god well before The Seven even existed. He holds very philosophical ideas towards money and has great respect for Liyue's traditions, including those that have been forgotten or warped over time. Despite his wealth of information, Zhongli tends to be humble and even seems somewhat insecure about it, being worried he comes off as a "bourgeois parasite". He is generally reminiscent and nostalgic, holding a melancholy air to him, but occasionally shows signs of eccentricity.
One of Zhongli's most defining characteristics is his tendency to forget about Mora in transactions, agreeing to spend large sums of it without having any Mora on hand and even taking "discounts" as granted despite being an obvious scam. He often ends up relying on those he is acquainted with for financial support, such as the Wangsheng Funeral Parlor or Childe. Although he is friends with Hu Tao, who trusts him the most, he does not like her childish behavior. Still, he doesn't hesitate to send her the bill of his expensive excursions, which she appears to pay for in exchange for his tolerance to her pranks.
It is later revealed that Zhongli's "carelessness" stems from being the creator of Mora. With the Gnosis allowing him to create limitless Mora, he never had to worry about running low on his personal finances. Unfortunately, when he chose to live among mortals, he lacked the foresight to find an alternative for them to continue minting Mora in his absence, along with creating a retirement fund for himself. As a result, he shamelessly spends the Mora of others, since he knows that he is its initial creator.
The Archaic Petra set states that Rex Lapis was said to be an emotionless, merciless god who slaughtered countless other gods during the Archon War, as was necessary in order to fulfill a contract. As the God of Contracts, Zhongli takes contracts earnestly and sincerely; while he does not mind small manipulation behind the scenes, he will always honor the content's agreements, and is perplexed as to how some people are unable to abide by such a simple concept. Likewise, he does not tolerate those who break contracts and states that all who do so will suffer the "Wrath of the Rock". True to this, his Elemental Burst causes him to send a meteor flying towards his enemies.
Zhongli cares deeply for his nation, even though he risks putting it in danger due to his plan to step down as the Geo Archon. His intention was to test Liyue to see if it was ready to proceed into a new age without his presence, and he does so by faking his death during the annual Rite of Descension. Unlike Venti, who is willing to reveal his identity to help others, Zhongli refrains from revealing his true identity at all, stating that he would only do so if Liyue were in real peril. He agrees with Keqing's controversial opinion that Liyue is overly reliant on its Archon, and respects her for that reason.
Highly intelligent and calculating, Zhongli accurately predicts Childe's plans, and he builds his test for Liyue entirely around the Harbinger. Despite having deceived him and also using him to cover his expenses, he is still on good terms with the Harbinger, occasionally going out for drinks with him. Liyue, while unknowing of his true identity, holds him in great respect, both for his abundant knowledge and immense generosity. As stated by his acquaintances, he sees the human lifespan as incredibly short in comparison to the lives of adepti, so he doesn't hesitate to give his people whatever they need to be more comfortable, even if it means giving away Mora from the pockets of others.
He dislikes seafood, stating that it brings back "bad" memories, referring to a time in the past when he once fought tentacled and foul-smelled sea monsters with great difficulty due to their resilience, small size, and abundance for the sake of his people and a promise he made to them, even though it was little more than glorified pest control. Despite his dislike of seafood, this is not true of the taste itself - he does not mind eating them when they have been turned completely unrecognizable from their original state.
Kamisato Ayaka
Ayaka is a kind-hearted girl with a pleasant temperament who treats others with politeness and courtesy. She holds the people of Inazuma dear to her heart and often goes out of her way to personally assist them in all kinds of matters - being a member of the Yashiro Commission, she feels that she must meet the people's needs. She is a perfectionist with an earnest personality. Her dedication often moves people, and those close to her gave her the honorary title of Shirasagi Himegimi (Japanese: 白しら鷺さぎの 姫ひめ君ぎみ Shirasagi no Himegimi, "Princess of Egret"). People in the neighborhood always talk about her with sincere admiration.
Thanks to the influence of Ayaka's excellent upbringing, her heart is as pure as crystallized ice. Just like the splendid colors reflected as the ice crystals spin in the winter air, such is Ayaka's spirit. While the people of Inazuma love her, it is also well known that she has very few friends due to her upbringing - Thoma is her only known friend until she met the Traveler. She is also busy to the point that she doesn't have much free time, to begin with, so she has trouble mingling with others. When not burdened with her duties, she shows a tender, cute side to her.
But if you want to capture a heart hanging high in the sky, you must have the ability to climb up the clouds. In other words, Ayaka is eager to associate with people capable of achieving great feats — in her eyes, friendships are dictated by fate, the same way she was destined to wield her frost-covered sword.
